RioConnect is a secure, cloud-based platform that connects your machines and delivers essential operating data from the field. Using an on-board gateway with mobile connectivity, machine data is transmitted directly to the RioConnect portal - no integration with your internal IT systems required. Simply log in to view performance data, usage data, and location information for individual machines or your entire fleet, wherever you are.

View machine location data when equipment is in operation, helping maintain oversight of your fleet. Location information is only visible when the machine is switched on.

RioConnect provides real-time alerts that indicate when maintenance or repair may be needed, helping you identify potential issues earlier and reduce unplanned downtime across your fleet. Users can set up custom email notifications to receive alerts for specific events or conditions, ensuring the right people are informed at the right time. Remote support is also possible, allowing service engineers to view machine status and assist without needing to be on site.

RioConnect FAQs

RioConnect is available on CityJets delivered from 11 May. In future, it is expected to expand to the eFlow One, MultiJet, and potentially other machines such as the ProfiJet.

RioConnect is included free for the first year with the purchase of a CityJet.

After the first year has ended, you will receive a renewal proposal.

Yes. The platform is separate from internal infrastructure and is described as ISO 27001 certified and compliant with EU and UK legislation. A connection is provided via the largest Dutch telecomprovider, which is listed as ISO 9001, ISO 22301, and ISO 27001 certified and has global coverage.

The account is created by Rioned or its distributor. Multiple sub-accounts can also be created by the customer.

No. Location data is only available when the machine is switched on. If the machine is off, only the office location is shown.

Yes. The gateway only provides data insight; the machine continues to function without it.

Yes. If you already have a CityJet with an eControl Touch, it can be connected to RioConnect. Contact us to discuss compatibility and setup options.
